German Palacios-Diaz, 34

German Palacios-Diaz, a 34-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Thursday, June 14, in the 11500 block of Medina Court in El Monte, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Palacios-Diaz was outside a store about 9:40 p.m. when he got into an argument with two unknown people.

During the exchange, Palacios-Diaz was shot. Authorities were called, and the victim was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead an hour later.

Coroner's records show Palacios-Diaz suffered several gunshot wounds to his body.

Winter said the incident was possibly gang-related.
