Gilbert Rick Adame, 18

Gilbert Rick Adame, an 18-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Saturday, March 1, in the 2200 block of Griffin Avenue in Lincoln Heights, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Adame was standing in the courtyard of an apartment building about 10:35 p.m. with about five people when a person walked up and fired multiple gunshots, said LAPD Det. Jose Ramirez.

Adame was pronounced dead at 10:47 p.m. at the scene, according to coroner’s records. An autopsy showed that Adame died of a gunshot wound to the chest.

May god bless you Gilbert I live near by and knew you by hi and bye ,you had a good heart you saved my sons dog who ran out lose and you picked him up and said is this your dog ?and saved him ,to the person who said it is a gang related thing that is not true I live in the area and stupid ignorant low life's have ran up to my own brothers and cousins with guns assuming they are gang members or just to be mean and evil ,this area is not safe no more and it's sad if your a young man or guy walking around the area it's list not safe, fools be going up to you for nothing it happens .and for someone to say such evil thing a person lost there life here have respect for him and his family .Rip Gilbert and my respect and prayers to his family.god bless
