Gilberto Ramirez, a 14-year-old Latino male, died Saturday, Nov. 7, after being shot in East Los Angeles, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

My name is Yolanda Rascon the Mother of Gilbert Ramirez Jr. All I want to say is that I just can't believe my Son still hasn't got justice for his life that was cut so short at the age of 14 yrs old. The worst pain a parent could ever go thru is the loss of a child. I know this first hand because I continue to live with the guilt of not being able to protect my Son from what happened to him that day he lost his life. I would trade places with him with no hesitation to just be able to give Junior that chance to live his life like he should have. I'm sorry this happened to you it's just not the same without you here like before. You will never be forgotten because I will forever keep your memory alive that I promise you. I treasure those 14 years of memories you left me with that is what keeps me going everyday. I miss and love you more then you could ever imagine. Well until we meet again I'll be loving you from here.
