Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroner's office, said her assailant used rubber tubing to strangle her. She was pronounced dead at 10:06 p.m., Winter said.

Guadalupe Chama, a 18-year-old Latina, was strangled to death on Sunday, Aug. 9. She was found in the18000 block of Soledad Canyon Road in Santa Clarita, according to Los Angeles County coroner's officials.
