Heilala Aholelei, a 16-year-old youth of Tongan descent, was shot at 5575 Atlantic Ave. at about 9:30 p.m. and died at 9:59 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9.

He was loading food into a car with his family after celebrating a birthday party nearby. His attacker came up from behind, shot him, and ran.
