Horacio Maldonado, 43

Horacio Maldonado, a 43-year-old Latino, died Saturday, May 2, after being stabbed near West 104th Street & Prairie Avenue in Inglewood, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

About 8:35 a.m., officers from the Inglewood Police Department responded to a call of a stabbing victim in an alley, according to a news release from police.

Officers found Maldonado suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:36 a.m., coroner’s records show. 

At the crime scene, police found “evidence that identified a suspect who was known to them,” according to the news release. 

Luis Casillas, a 19-year-old Latino, has been charged with one count of murder, according to police and court records. 

Detectives did not release additional information about the killing.
