Iran Francisco Maese, 35

Iran Francisco Maese, a 35-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Sunday, June 28, in the 700 block of Linden Avenue in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records. 

Long Beach police officers responded to a call about a shooting victim at 11:30 p.m. and found Maese on an apartment staircase with multiple gunshot wounds in his upper body, according to a news release from the Long Beach Police Department.

Officers began life-saving measures until Long Beach Fire Department paramedics arrived. The paramedics pronounced Maese dead at the scene at 11:53 p.m., according to coroner’s records. 

Maese was homeless, according to coroner’s records. No suspect information is available and the motive for the shooting is unknown.
