Isreal Cabrera, 18

Isreal Cabrera, an 18-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Saturday, Nov. 24, in the 1000 block of East Oaks Street in Compton, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Cabrera was shot about 10:20 a.m., said Deputy Kim Manatt.

Paramedics rushed the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, she said. Coroner's records show the victim died from several gunshot wounds to his torso.

There was no immediate description of the assailant from homicide detectives, Manatt said.

Anthony A. Arzili, the victim's former attorney, contacted the Homicide Report and said Cabrera was in Compton to visit his baby when he was shot.
