Ivan Pedroza, 33
Ivan Pedroza, a 33-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Monday, July 30, in the 2100 block of Bellevue Avenue in Echo Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records
According to a Los Angeles Police Department News Release, Pedroza and a friend met up with the alleged shooter, known as “Chucky” around 6:15 p.m.
Neighbors reported hearing an argument followed by gunshots, the Los Angeles Police Department said. It is believed that shortly after meeting, Chucky took out a handgun and shot Pedroza.
Officers found the victim at the bottom of a hill. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Officer Karen Rayner said.
No other details about the shooter are available.
