Jaime Abu Awad, 27

Jaime Abu Awad, identified by the coroner's office as a 27-year-old white man, was fatally shot Thursday, April 19, in the 800 block of West 81st Street in Vermont Knolls, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Abu Awad was injured during a possible walk-up shooting.

The victim was shot at 11:45 a.m. and was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries at 12:17 p.m.

According to coroner's records, Abu Awad died from several gunshot wounds to his body.
