Jason Carl Haddock, a 37-year-old white male, died Friday, Dec. 25, after being shot in Winnetka, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Jason was my best friend, my life, he was a looker! damn I will never forget the first time I saw him walking through the bus terminal I couldn't believe my eyes extremely handsome corn fed white boy. He had a very distinct voice that will ring in my ears forever. Jason lost his mother at the age of 12 which was tragic event that would change his life forever. He spoke of his mother Jolene, his grandmother Elsie, his Aunt Sheila, Uncle Rick, Uncle Nolan and his little sister Jennifer quite often. He was a very protective big brother and always had his sisters best interest at heart. As did he with my grandson, Jason was always there for my grandson Buggy's, Jason even made sure that Buggy's had a Christmas tree. J got the tree a put it in front of the door knocked and took off, he was hoping Buggy's would think Santa brought him the tree. Jason is the only person I know that got straight A's throughout high school. He had been attending Pierce College in Woodland Hills and had received his HVAC Certification, he was also taking welding classes, and to quote his welding teacher Mr. Wheeler "Jason was a little rough around the edges but with a little more training would have been a great welder". Jason received an A in Mr. Wheeler's class, a fact that Jason will never know. Jason and I had lived together and he became good friends with my pitbull, Jason called the dog Bully, because I didn't like his real name, so Bully it was. To this day that dog stares out the window and I know he is waiting for Jason to walk in the door. Its very sad Bully lost his best buddy. Jason I think about you daily and you my friend are missed beyond words. You will always live in my heart J! Till we meet again Jason Haddock you are forever free.
