A story for every victim

Jazper Hudson, 22

Jazper Hudson, a 22-year-old black man, was fatally wounded on Thursday, May 30 in the 3800 block of Rodeo Road in Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw, according to L.A. County coroner’s records.

Hudson and a male friend left a gas station at the corner of Rodeo and Crenshaw Boulevard in a Jaguar sedan when a dark vehicle pulled alongside them and shot into the car, striking both men, said LAPD Det. Sal LaBarbera.

Hudson died on the way to the hospital at 10:05 p.m., coroner’s records show. The friend was treated for a gunshot wound to his left arm.

On June 14, police arrested 20-year-old Everald Fisher on suspicion of murder, LaBarbera said.

Prosecutors charged Fisher on June 17 with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder with gun and gang allegations, said Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the L.A. County district attorney’s office.

He is being held on $1 million bail.
