Shortly after 9 a.m., Murray was standing in the area when a person walked north on South Main Street and fired multiple rounds, said LAPD Det. Dave Garrido.

The gunman kept walking to a waiting brown sedan. The driver of the sedan also fired at Murray before the two drove away.
