Edwin Antonio Gonzales, 32
Edwin Antonio Gonzales, a 32-year-old Latino, died Thursday, July 5, four days after he was shot in the 10500 block of Dorothy Avenue in South Gate, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
[Editor's note: An earlier version of this post, based on information from the coroner's office, identified the victim as Jervis Amaya, a 34-year-old Latino.]
Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Gonzales was shot July 1.
After the incident, he was taken to a hospital, where he remained until his death July 5. He was pronounced dead at 10:03 a.m.
Winter had no other details about the case.
