Jesus Eduardo Vargas, 27
Jesus Eduardo Vargas, a 27-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Monday, July 1, in the 2100 block of West Pico Boulevard in Pico-Union, according to L.A. County coroner’s records.
Two men chased Vargas into a Jack in the Box restaurant about 7:20 p.m. during an altercation, police said. One man fired multiple shots at Vargas, LAPD Det. Jeff Cortina said.
Vargas was taken to a hospital where he died at 8 p.m., coroner’s spokesman Ed Winter said.
Police described the two men as Latinos.
