Jimmy Jackson, 40

Jimmy Jackson, a 40-year-old Black man, was shot and killed Wednesday, Aug. 26, in the 1500 block of Plaza del Amo in Harbor Gateway, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Shortly before 12:30 a.m., Jackson and a group of males were in a carport in the area when there was a dispute, and then gunshots, according to a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department.

Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:36 a.m., according to coroner’s records.
