Jonathan Flores, 30

Jonathan Flores, a 30-year-old Latino, was stabbed to death Saturday, Sept. 19, in the 12200 block of Magnolia Street in El Monte, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records. 

El Monte police were called to the residential area about 2:21 a.m. A man walking by the location discovered the injured Flores and called the police, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.  

When officers arrived, they found Flores lying on the sidewalk outside his home with stab wounds in his upper torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:45 a.m., according to coroner’s records. 

El Monte police asked the sheriff’s Homicide Bureau to help with the investigation, according to the news release. No suspect information is available, according to the news release, and the motive is unknown.
