Jose Carlos Garcia, 41
Jose Garcia, a 41-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Wednesday, Aug. 1, in the the 400 block of South Azusa Avenue in La Puente, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Officials said they were alerted shortly after 9:30 p.m. that shots were fired in a liquor store parking lot.
When authorities arrived, they discovered Garcia injured. The victim was taken to County USC Medical Center with multiple gunshot wounds, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.
A homicide investigation is ongoing, said Deputy G. Saldana. Officials provided no further details.
