Jose Torres Jiminez, 44

Jose Jiminez, a 44-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Thursday, Oct. 22, in the 11900 block of 162nd Street in Norwalk, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

About 10:10 p.m., deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Norwalk station responded to a park following a report of a gunshot victim, according to a news release from the department.

Deputies arrived and found Jiminez suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Authorities did not release additional information about the incident.
