Jose Zamarripa, 26

Jose Zamarripa, a 26-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Friday, June 22, in the 6200 block of Halldale Avenue in Harvard Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Zamarripa was injured during a gang-relating shooting about 9:42 p.m.

The victim was taken California Hospital Medical Center where he died a little more than 30 minutes later.

Coroner's records show Zamarripa died from several gunshot wounds to his body.

Winter had no other details about the killing.
