Joseph Gilbert, a 28-year-old black man, was stabbed to death Friday, Nov. 25, in the 4000 block of Abourne Road in Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Gilbert was at a party about midnight when he was involved in a verbal altercation and stabbed, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.

Paramedics were called and the victim was taken to a hospital in Lynwood where he was pronounced dead at 3:55 a.m.

Winter had no other information about the case.

None of it matters. Rival this, rival that. Turf. Really? It's nobody's "turf". Try raising a family with values, that takes a real man. Ask anyone who has tried.

Try fighting without your guns. Whole different story now, isn't it? Your tough guy act is tired and it's breaking the hearts of families who believe their children are innocent. The cycle doesn't stop and it won't stop.

The gangbangers aren't men, they are cowards. It's revealed when they get caught and they cry like little girls when reality hits them in the forehead.

But they'll continue to hide behind their guns and homies thinking their fate is different; when in reality, it's only a matter of time... death or jail, pick your poison!!!

So everyone believes there is this paradise they go to when they are killed, yet it doesn't exist when they make the decision to ruin a family? How does that make sense. I have the answer: IT DOESN'T!!!, none of it makes sense.

Pick up a book, hold open a door, stand up and make a name with honor. But that takes work and it appears that work is every gangbanger's cryptonite. So the cycle continues...

Sometimes the victim is not the innocient person people always paint a picture instead of seeking the facts in a situation . me personally i want to no the truth why do certain things happen its easy to lay blame without knowing facts . If you belive in God then you would allow him to make jugement of his children . Yes we are suppose to follow the laws of the land but that means those that make the laws should follow the rules that they make and up hold . If they break the law to make their case work that means someone that could be innocent could be wrongly convicted of a crime. @ f0clipse you seem to know about the culture of La . so i know when you went to the jungels you had a pistol afther all your foclipse from lbc . you had to be ready to shoot at what ever you thought was a thret to your life . you have to understand even with your gun your not untouchable so why go . Most people that go places they feel like their not suppose to be have the im the baddest man on the planet complex which usually results into violence .
