A story for every victim

Joshua Aaron Pyle, 33

Joshua Aaron Pyle, a 33-year-old white man, died Sept. 21, 2015, in the 1500 block of Indian Hill Boulevard in Pomona, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

In the late evening, Pomona police responded to a call involving an injured man in an alley, according to a news release. The victim, later identified as Pyle, was flown to a local hospital where he died at 11:56 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

A subsequent investigation led detectives to believe Pyle was struck by a vehicle. Investigators have not determined if any criminal acts occurred leading to Pyle’s death.

Detectives later found the vehicle, a 1999 green Saturn sedan, and questioned the owner, 30-year-old James Holm, who was held on an unrelated charge. Lt. Hector Rodriguez said Holm was later released pending lab results.
