Juan Parga, a 40-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Monday, Nov. 19, in the 300 block of South Witmer Street in Westlake, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Police responding to a 911 call at 1:40 a.m. found Parga on a sidewalk with several gunshot wounds.
He was taken to County-USC Medical Center and later pronounced dead, said LAPD Rampart homicide Det. Chris Linscomb. The investigation is continuing.
