Juan Carlos Renteria, 30

Juan Carlos Renteria, a 30-year-old white man, died Saturday, Aug. 11, several days after being assaulted in the 6000 block of Olympic Boulevard in East Los Angeles, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Renteria was returning home Aug. 9 about 3 a.m. when he was assaulted in front of his house by two males, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner’s office. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead two days later.

Renteria’s preliminary coroner’s report indicates he sustained multiple stab wounds and blunt-force trauma to the head.
