Juan Manuel Parga Jr., 25

Juan Parga Jr., a 25-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Friday, Nov. 26, in the 1400 block of East Pennsylvania Avenue in Boyle Heights, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

The shooting occurred about 11:09 a.m., said Officer Bruce Borihanh, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department.

Parga "was at the location when a suspect approached him in a dark color Jeep Cherokee,” Borihanh said. “Multiple shots were fired. The victim was struck multiple times.” He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.

Borihanh said the incident was believed to be gang-related.
