A story for every victim

Jue Wang, 37

Jue Wang, a 37-year-old Asian man, was fatally shot on Saturday, Dec. 14, in the 900 block of West Ramona Road in Alhambra, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Alhambra police officers were called to the scene shortly after 8 p.m. regarding a suspicious vehicle, said Los Angeles County sheriff's Lt. Brandon Dean. The car was parked in a residential neighborhood that runs parallel to the 10 Freeway, just east of the South Atlantic Boulevard exit.

When officers arrived, they found Wang sitting in the driver's seat of the car with a gunshot wound in the upper torso, Dean said.

Wang was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:01 p.m., according to coroner's records. The cause of death was listed as a gunshot wound.

Investigators don't know why Wang was in the neighborhood. He lived in Palmdale and no one on the street knew who he was, Dean said. Investigators don't have a motive for the shooting or any suspects, he said.
