Julie Ann Souza, a 53-year-old white woman, died Dec. 12, 2010 in the 200 block of East Olympic Boulevard in downtown, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Souza was found unresponsive by a security guard, according to coroner’s records and police. Souza was a transient who was known to hang around the fashion district near Santee Alley, said Lt. Walt Teague with LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division.
Souza, who had been strangled and sexually assaulted, was pronounced dead at 12:05 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
