Keandra Shana Bevans, 33

Keandra Shana Bevans, a 33-year-old black woman, died Saturday, Nov. 7, after sustaining blunt force trauma the day before in the 8300 block of South San Pedro Street in Florence, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records. 

Bevans and her boyfriend, Jerell Demont Robinson, 25, went to a Florence apartment on Nov. 6 to visit Robinson’s father. The two got into a dispute and Robinson beat her.

Los Angeles police responded to a 911 call around 1 a.m. and found Bevans lying outside the apartment complex without any clothes, according to Det. Chris Barling. 

Bevans was taken to California Hospital Medical Center where she died at 4:13 p.m.

Officers arrested Robinson, a black man, on Nov. 6, and he was charged on Nov. 10 with one count of murder. He is scheduled to be arraigned Nov. 30.
