Kelly Collins-McCowen, 37

Kelly Collins-McCowen, 37, a black woman, was shot multiple times outside of a bowling alley at 4645 W. Venice Blvd. in the Mid-City area about 8:20 p.m. Thursday, April 3.

Police said Collins-McCowen was at the Midtown Center when her boyfriend confronted her and allegedly shot her with a handgun.

Authorities said her boyfriend, Rene Sajid Munoz, a 39-year-old Latino man, fled in a vehicle and drove to Forest Lawn Memorial-Park in Glendale, where he was involved in a standoff with police officers from the Glendale Police Department and LAPD's Northeast Division.
