Kenneth Thomas Glenn, 23

Kenneth Thomas Glenn, a 23-year-old black man, was shot and killed Thursday, Aug. 15, in the 8900 block of South Central Avenue in Green Meadows, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.

About 8:30 p.m., Glenn was inside a market when he got into an argument with another person who pulled out a gun and shot him, said Los Angeles Police Det. Nathan Kouri.

The gunman fled in a red sedan, Kouri said.

Glenn was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:11 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

Police arrested Robert Earl Hubbert, a 30-year-old black man, on suspicion of murder. 

Hubbert was charged Sept. 3 with one count of murder with gun and gang allegations, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office. He was also charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, prosecutors said.

Hubbert is due back in court Sept. 17, according to court records.
