Kevin Dewayne Henderson, 35
Kevin Henderson a 35-year-old black man, was shot and killed Sunday, April 30, in the 1800 block of East Century Boulevard in Watts, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Henderson was riding a skateboard on East Century Boulevard about 5:30 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up, said Los Angeles Police Det. Nathan Kouri.
The vehicle stopped and a person got out and began shooting at Henderson, Kouri said.
Henderson was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead. The vehicle, described as a light-colored sedan, fled east on East Century Boulevard, Kouri said.
Police believe the shooter acted alone, but did not yet have a suspect description.
