Kevin Zamora, a 23-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Sunday, Jan. 17 in the 2700 block of Beverly Boulevard in Westlake, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 1:40 p.m., Zamora was walking with a friend on Beverly Boulevard when a person walked up and opened fire, said LAPD Det. Ray Martinez. It’s unclear if there was an exchange, Martinez said.
The other person was not injured. Zamora was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:19 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
