Kevion Semaj Johnson, 26

Kevion Johnson, a 26-year-old black man, was shot and killed Friday, Sept. 9, in the 8400 block of South Broadway in Florence, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 7 p.m., Johnson was standing on a sidewalk when he was shot, said Los Angeles police Det. Chris Barling. Police believe that the assailants may have left in a light-colored sedan but are unsure if the gunman got out of the car.

The car drove away west on West 84th Street, Barling said. Johnson was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:50 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
