A story for every victim

Larry Fulton, 37

Larry Fulton, 37, a black man, was killed at a house in Compton in an execution-style robbery shooting, and died at 11:05 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1.

Fulton and a friend, also a black man, were in their house when two 18-year-old black men broke in and held them at gunpoint, demanding money, said Det. Todd Anderson of Sheriff's Homicide Bureau.

Fulton and his friend turned over what they had, but the robbers declared it was not enough. They forced Fulton and his friend on their knees, then shot them both. Fulton was struck in the head and died. His friend was wounded in the back, and survived.

Sheriff's homicide detectives arrested two suspects, suspected gang members. Fulton and his friend were not, but the suspects may have thought they were, Anderson said.
