Leon Lorenzo Matthews, 27

Leon Matthews, a 27-year-old black man, was shot and killed Tuesday, Nov. 1, near Manchester Avenue and Gramercy Place in Manchester Square, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

The incident occurred shortly after 5 a.m. after Matthews walked out of the Ground Zero Night Club. A dispute broke out, at which point Matthews was shot, police said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Coroner's records show Matthews suffered several gunshot wounds to his body.

LAPD Det. Chris Barling said the shooting appeared to be gang-related.
