Lloyd Allen Craig, 33

Lloyd Allen Craig, a 33-year-old black man, died Wednesday, April 5, in the 1600 block of West 56th Street in Harvard Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 8:30 a.m., Craig was on the sidewalk, walking up to a person he knew who was standing nearby, when a black sedan drove by, said Los Angeles Police Det. Chris Barling.

At least one person opened fire from the sedan, striking Craig multiple times, Barling said.

Craig was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:51 a.m., according to coroner’s records.

Barling said no words were exchanged between Craig and the occupants of the sedan before the shooting. The car continued traveling west on West 56th Street until it was out of view, he said
