Lucia Snodgrass, 36

Lucia Snodgrass, a 36-year-old Latina, was shot and killed Friday, July 24, in the 500 block of East Hargrave Street in Inglewood, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Inglewood police went to a home about 9:25 p.m. after receiving a 911 call from family members about a shooting victim.

Snodgrass was found on a couch with a gunshot wound to the head, according to coroner’s records. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:42 p.m.

About six hours later, on July 25, Snodgrass’ husband, a suspect in the shooting, was spotted at Centinela Hospital Medical Center in Inglewood, according to a news release from the Inglewood Police Department.

The man walked into the hospital and shot himself in the head, according to police and coroner's records.

Schaunttee Jamal Snodgrass, a 44-year-old black man, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:30 a.m.

Inglewood investigators refused to comment about the incident beyond the news release.

Hospital spokesman Steven Brand said July 31 that no one else was injured at the hospital.
