Luis Cortez, 17
Luis Cortez, a 17-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Wednesday, Oct. 10, near 104th and Figueroa streets in Vermont Vista, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Police believe the shooting was gang-related.
Cortez was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:31 p.m.
