Lynette Lucero, 47

Lynette Lucero, 47, a Latina woman, was killed and two men were wounded in a shooting just after 1 a.m. Thursday, July 5, in the 3400 block of Alice Street in Cypress Park. She died at 3:41 a.m. The group was standing in a driveway when it was attacked.

Update: LAPD Northeast detectives have cleared this case. The suspect is Latino. She was not the intended victim, the investigation revealed. The suspect was gunning for neighbors of hers who were associated with a gang. He wounded two of these rival gang members, then turned the gun Lucero who happened to be standing nearby for unknown reasons.
