Man charged with fatal stabbing of man found inside RV in Long Beach

A 33-year-old man has been charged with fatally stabbing another man who was found inside a motor home in December, authorities said.

Justin Michael St. George was charged Feb. 16 with one count of murder with the allegation that he used a knife, according to the criminal complaint from the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office. St. George is a white man, according to online records from the Sheriff's Department.

Feb. 22, 9:15 p.m.: A previous version of this article identified St. George as a black man. He is a white man.


Police said the investigation is ongoing but said detectives arrested St. George Feb. 10 in Cypress, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

On Dec. 6, police found Gary Edmond Rice, 62, dead inside an RV in Long Beach.

St. George is due back in court March 1, a spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office said.
