Man sentenced in fatal shooting of brother in Compton

A man who fatally shot his younger brother after an argument at their mother's home was sentenced in March to 15 years to life in prison, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.

Dion Landry, a 45-year-old black man, pleaded no contest on March 3 to one count of voluntary manslaughter, according to a news release from the district attorney's office.

On Nov. 16, 2014 about 4:45 p.m., Landry got into an argument with his brother Davion Branch, 25, at their mother's home in Compton.

Authorities said that Landry left the fight and returned with a gun. Landry then confronted his brother in the backyard and opened fire.
