Manuel Anthony Hernandez, a 27-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Saturday, Aug. 25, in the 6100 block of Nevada Avenue in South Gate, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Hernandez was injured during a drive-by shooting about 12:45 a.m.
Authorities were called, and the victim was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, where he was pronounced dead at 4:53 a.m.
Winter had no other details about the case.
