Maria Zavala, 44, a Latina woman, was stabbed in the chest and abdomen several times in an apartment at 3351 Eagle Rock Blvd. in LAPD's Northeast Divison, and died at 10:22 p.m. Friday, April 6. A Latino man was taken into custody. Police called it a domestic homicide.
