Marlene Donaldson, 36

Marlene Donaldson, a 36-year-old black woman, was shot to death in a drive-by attack in the 1100 block of East 119th Street in South Los Angeles about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, July 19.  The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Officer Ana Aguirre of the Los Angeles Police Department's media relations office. She said a newer model Chevrolet or Poniac was seen speeding away from the area. Police are not sure whether Donaldson was the intended target. Authorities said Donaldson was attending a party.
