Marquis Lamar Thomas, 22

Marquis Lamar Thomas, a 22-year-old black man, died Sunday, Oct. 30, after he was shot in the 11000 block of South Broadway in Broadway-Manchester, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

On Oct. 29, shortly after 9:30 a.m., Thomas was walking southbound on South Broadway to a relative's home when a man walked up and shot him, said Los Angeles Police Det. Nathan Kouri.

Thomas was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:38 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

The gunman remained at large last week.
