Mauricio Antonio Sotelo, 20
Mauricio Sotelo, a 20-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Thursday, May 6, at 14th Street and Cedar Avenue in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Police responded to report of a shooting about 1:11 a.m., according to the Long Beach Police Department.
When officers arrived, they found Sotelo with a gunshot wound to his torso. Sotelo was taken to a hospital where he was treated for his injuries, and later pronounced dead, police said.
Investigators do not have any suspects at this time and a motive remains unknown. However, the incident is being looked at as possibly gang-related.
