Michael Rodriguez, 20

Michael Rodriguez, 20, a Latino man, was shot in the torso at 815 S. Bradfield Ave. in East Rancho Dominguez, and died at 12:44 a.m. Saturday, June 2.

Rodriguez was at a graduation party at about 12:30 a.m. when he was shot. Sheriff's deputies learned about the shooting when a frantic motorist flagged them down at Alondra and Long Beach boulevards.

The wounded victim was lying in the bed of the motorist's pickup truck; they were trying to get to a hospital. An ambulance came, but the man was dead when he got to a medical center. At the scene, investigators learned there had been a fight in front of the party house, where high schoolers were celebrating their diplomas.
