Michelle Anderson, a 24-year-old black woman, was fatally shot Tuesday, Jan. 17, in the 1500 block of West 87th Street in Gramercy Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Anderson was shot multiple times after walking out of a house on 87th Street near Denker Avenue shortly before 10 p.m. She was taken to a hospital, where she died.
Coroner's records show Anderson suffered gunshot wounds to her face and head.
Detectives say witnesses heard two shots but did not see any of the suspected assailants. The shooting is believed to be gang-related, detectives said.
