Miguel Agustin, 27 [Updated]

Miguel Agustin, a 27-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Wednesday, Nov. 3, in the 13700 block of Weidner Avenue in Pacoima, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

A person walked up to Agustin at 1:49 p.m. and shot him several times, said Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroner's office.

Agustin was taken to a hospital in Mission Hills, where he died at 2:29 p.m.

According to coroner's records, no suspects were taken into custody.

The Times has contacted investigators to obtain more information about the case and will provide additional details as soon as they are available.

[Update Nov. 11: LAPD Foothill Det. Pat Barron said no arrests have been made in connection with the case.

The shooter is described as a Latino in his early 20s.

Agustin was a documented gang member, Barron said, and the shooting is believed to be gang-related.
