Miguel Jacob Sanchez, 19

Miguel Jacob Sanchez, a 19-year-old Latino, was found dead Thursday, March 1, in the 8200 block of South Hoover in Vermont Knolls, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Residents in the area saw a car abandoned in an alley and called authorities about noon, Los Angeles Police Det. Chris Barling said. Sanchez was found inside the trunk of the car, Barling said.

Police wouldn’t say how Sanchez died. According to coroner’s records, “multiple injuries” contributed to his death.

Police think Sanchez was killed somewhere else and his body was dumped in the area, Barling said.

Sanchez, who lived in the area, was reported missing by family members Feb. 19, police said.
